"I will write an application to get Brady's Clock Tower listed and lobby for the building to be returned to use by the Brixton community but only if 20 people, including one local historian and one photographer, will help me."

The beautiful five-sided Victorian clocktower of Brady’s (formerly the Railway Hotel) in Atlantic Road is as well-loved a landmark on Brixton's skyline as the now-empty pub and venue is a vital part of its community and social history.
Yet this unique architectural feature is not listed with English Heritage, making it vulnerable to demolition if owner the London Borough of Lambeth decides to sell the building to developers.
It is my intention to:
1) Protect the future of the clocktower by making every effort to have it listed by English Heritage;
2) Working with the local community, to campaign to bring the whole building back into public use as a much-needed community-owned and run resource.

I just found this webpage while seeking to confirm whether the tower is five or six-sided. An excellent pledge. In the mean time, I was independently keen to see the building, or clock tower at least, listed, and had written to English Heritage. How were you going to go about getting it listed and can't more of the building be listed along with it?
Any chance I could come backstage sometime & take some quality photos for you guys?? xx
